Nutrition Program
A variety of services are provided through the Nutrition Program, including Meals on Wheels, Senior Dining, Liquid Supplements, and nutrition screenings risk, education and counseling.
Programs are funded under the federal Older Americans Act and are designed to provide meals and supportive services to people 60 years of age and older and their spouses regardless of age. Younger people with a disability may also qualify.
Meals comply with the Dietary Guidelines For Americans and provide at least one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowances for an older person. The purpose of the program is to provide nutrition services that assist older individuals to live independently with improved nutrition.
