New Restaurant to Open at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport

Eau Claire, Wisconsin, January 7, 2016 – The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (CVRA) will soon have a new restaurant. CVRA recently executed a lease agreement with Mr. Bob Adrian to open Hangar 54 Grill at the airport.
Mr. Adrian has been in the food business for many years. He currently owns Rump’s Butcher Shoppe in Altoona, WI. Mr. Adrian, along with his partners, are excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to getting this newly themed restaurant and bar open to the public. A date has not been set for opening, but work will start immediately on preparations for opening the new restaurant. Mr. Adrian stated, “There is a tremendous amount of work associated with getting a new business up and running. We want to make sure we have everything in order before we open our doors.” It is expected the restaurant/bar will be open for lunch and dinner every day of the week with breakfast offered on Sundays. The exact hours will be determined and announced in the near future.
According to Airport Director, Charity Zich, “The Airport Commission is pleased to have the restaurant facilities utilized. We continue to receive comments from airport customers and area residents about the importance of the airport restaurant.”
The restaurant facilities became available for lease in November 2014 after the closure of The Farm on Starr. Prior to that, Connell’s II at the Airport operated for approximately 20 years.
