County Highway Flooding
The following highways are currently overtopping with water from the recent rain event that starting the evening of 8/10/16.
County Highway HH between Wren Road and Thrush Drive is temporarily closed due to high water.
County Highway D between County Highway V and County Highway HH is temporarily closed due to high water.
The Highway Department has advised there is water over the roadway and has placed barricades at each end of the closure.
Do not drive into flooded roadways or around barricades, turn around, do not drown. Water may be deeper than it appears and can hide many hazards. A vehicle caught in swiftly moving water can be swept away in a matter of seconds. As little as 12 inches of water can float a car or small SUV and 18 inches of water can carry away large vehicles. During a flood, water levels and the rate the water is flowing can quickly change. Remain aware and avoid flooded roads at all costs.
