Groundwater Advisory

GENERAL INFORMATION                                                          

MEMBERSHIP                                                     

* The Committee shall consist of nine persons knowledgeable and interested in groundwater quality and protection.                  
* Three members shall be county board members                    
* One member shall be from the Board of Health        
* One member shall be from the Department of Natural Resources, Water Quality Division 
* One member shall be the president of the Eau Claire County Town's Association or designee       
* Three members shall be citizens at large with one having expertise in a groundwater related field   
* All members shall be citizens of the county at the time of appointment and for the duration of their terms
 
APPOINTED BY            County Board Chair                
TERM                              3 years
MEETINGS                     At least four times per year

DUTIES                      
Monitor state and federal regulation of groundwater                        
Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive, county-wide groundwater management plan                    
Perform such other tasks as directed by the Planning & Development Committee
